TikTok Bulk Downloader — Backup Many Videos to Cloud (Honest Take)

If you're backing up dozens or hundreds of TikTok videos - particularly with TikTok facing regulatory uncertainty in multiple regions - bulk download capability matters. Here's an honest look at what TubeDisk does today, what we don't do yet, and what workflow actually gets the backup done.

What we do today

  • Individual URLs queue in parallel. Paste many TikTok links in succession; they get processed in parallel within your tier's queue capacity.
  • Direct cloud delivery. Files land in your Google Drive, Dropbox, S3 folder, not on your device.
  • Clean files, no watermark. See our watermark explanation for the mechanics.
  • Multi-cloud parallel. Different videos can route to different cloud folders if you set per-link destinations.

What we don't do yet

  • No "paste @username, get all their videos" button. Profile-wide bulk download isn't a current feature. You queue URLs individually.
  • No CSV/text-file import. Currently you paste each URL into the dashboard. Import-many-from-file is a roadmap item.
  • No browser-extension that captures every video as you scroll. Sometimes requested; not on our roadmap.

The workflow that works for 50-500 videos today

Step 1: Build your URL list

Open TikTok in a browser. For each video you want to back up, copy its URL (right-click on the timestamp or use the share menu). Paste into a plain-text file or note-taking app. Most people use Apple Notes, Notion, or just a text editor.

Step 2: Connect destination cloud

Connect Google Drive, Dropbox, S3 via OAuth (or bucket + keys for S3). Set a default destination folder for the backup project.

Step 3: Paste URLs in batches

TubeDisk's dashboard accepts multiple URLs in succession - each gets its own queue entry. Pro tier processes them in parallel up to your concurrency limit.

Step 4: Monitor and continue

The dashboard shows queue status, completion, and any failures. When the first batch finishes, paste the next batch. For 500 URLs, realistic time investment: 30-60 minutes of click work, then 2-4 hours of background processing.

Alternative: yt-dlp scripted

For technical users with hundreds or thousands of TikTok URLs, yt-dlp is the right tool. It accepts a text file of URLs (--batch-file urls.txt) and downloads them all. Free, no rate limits beyond TikTok's own. The catch: output lands on your disk, not in cloud. You'd then upload manually.

For very large bulk operations (1000+ videos), this is the practical path today.

Why not just build profile-wide bulk?

A few reasons we haven't shipped it as a single-click feature:

  1. TikTok rate-limits aggressive scraping. Hammering a profile's video list triggers their anti-bot. We'd need rotating proxies and slow request pacing, which costs money and slows the workflow anyway.
  2. Most users want curated backups, not everything. Of a TikTok user's 500 videos, you probably want 50 actually-interesting ones. Profile-wide bulk gives noise.
  3. The use case has legal grey areas. Wholesale archival of another creator's profile is more litigatable than curated personal-use backup.

That said, it's on our roadmap as an opt-in feature with proper rate-limiting and warning prompts. No specific date.

If TikTok-ban backup is your specific concern

See our dedicated guide: TikTok ban backup. The recommendation: combine your own account export (via TikTok's "Download your data" function) with TubeDisk for curated content from other creators.

Pricing

Free tier handles small batches (10-20 videos/day). Pro $2.99/month: higher daily limits, parallel queue, priority processing - recommended for backup projects of 50+ videos.

FAQ

How many TikTok videos can I queue at once?

Free tier: limited daily quota. Pro tier: much higher; parallel queue typically handles 5-10 concurrent transfers. Hundreds in a day are reasonable on Pro.

What if some videos fail?

The dashboard shows failed transfers separately. You can retry them individually. Most failures are transient (TikTok rate-limit) and resolve on retry.

Can I export the URL list back out?

The dashboard's upload history is exportable as CSV, including source URL, destination path, and status for each entry.
